Hello Yoga Law World!
In this short video, Cory Sterling, Conscious Counsel’s Founder and Real Human Lawyer, will outline three key things you need to know before running a yoga retreat.
The FIRST is to establish clear communication between you and your retreat attendees. Cory covers details around the seemingly boring but oh-so-important stuff like insurance and contracts. Clarity around expectations and payment ensure that everyone is on the same page so that you can focus more on the fun and less on admin.
The SECOND is to get everything in writing when it comes to your arrangement with the venue. Cover all of your bases right down to the nitty gritty things like expected meals and schedule. This will, like the first tip, lay out all expectations and skip the confusion when retreat time rolls around.
The THIRD thing you must know is that it is crucial to set up agreements with the independent contractors whom you’re employing at the retreat - like teachers, chefs, and wellness practitioners. Bringing someone on under clear terms, ensures that they will deleiver their services in the way you envision and that they will feel good abotu doing it, having planned in advance.
Sound like a lot of paperwork? Conscious Counsel actually loves doing all of this agreement drafting FOR YOU. Connect with us, and we’ll show you how it’s done.
